Extreme Seal Block Paving Sealer is a heavy-duty solvent-based sealer for block paving, patios and driveways. It enhances and protects paved surfaces while helping to bind jointing sand, reduce weed growth and resist oil, water and staining. Available in Wet Look and Matt finishes, the Wet Look option deepens and enhances the colour of the paving, while Matt provides a more natural appearance.

Optional Anti-Slip Additive

For extra grip, add the supplied silica additive to create an anti-slip block paving sealer finish. Ideal for patios, driveways, paths and sloped areas where additional slip resistance is required.

The tough polyurethane resin also helps protect against oil, diesel, water, UV exposure and general weathering, making it suitable for high-traffic paved areas.

Fast Drying, Made in the UK

Made in the UK, Extreme Seal is touch dry in approximately 3–4 hours, allowing a second coat to be applied the same day in suitable conditions. Once fully cured, it provides a tough, long-lasting protective finish for block paving, patios and driveways.

Surface Preparation 

For heavily soiled paving, moss or algae, clean the surface first with our Extreme Clean Patio Cleaner before sealing.

The surface must be clean, completely dry and free from dirt, algae, oil and loose jointing sand before application.

For best results, the paving must be clean, dry and free from dirt, moss, algae, oil, grease and loose material before applying the sealer.

If the area has been pressure washed or treated with a cleaner, allow it to dry thoroughly before sealing. Any joints that need re-sanding should be completed before application, and excess loose sand should be removed from the surface.

For previously sealed paving, test a small area first to check compatibility and adhesion.

How to Apply Block Paving Sealer

1. Make sure the surface is clean and completely dry before application.
2. Stir the sealer thoroughly before use.
3. Apply a thin, even coat using a suitable roller or brush, working it into the surface without allowing excess product to pool.
4. Allow the first coat to dry before applying the second coat.
5. Apply the second coat evenly for maximum protection and a more consistent finish.
6. Keep the area free from rain, standing water and traffic while the coating is drying and curing.

For a deeper Wet Look finish: Additional thin coats can further enhance the colour and sheen of the paving. The more evenly applied coats used, the richer the Wet Look effect will generally appear.

Always allow each coat to dry properly before applying the next, and avoid heavy application or pooling.

For Anti-Slip: Mix the anti-slip additive thoroughly into the sealer before application and continue stirring periodically to keep the particles evenly distributed.

Coverage

• Approximate coverage is 6-8m² per litre per coat, depending on the porosity and condition of the surface.

  For best results:

• Apply 2 thin, even coats

• Allow the first coat to dry before recoating

• Apply using a roller or suitable brush

• Avoid over-application or allowing the sealer to pool

• Make sure the block paving, patio or driveway is completely dry before sealing

• A third clear coat deepens Wet-Look gloss

10L – approximately 60–80 m² per coat
20L – approximately 120–160 m² per coat

Drying & Curing @ 18 °C

• Touch dry: 3–4 h

• Recoat: 4–6 h

• Light traffic: 12 h

• Vehicle traffic: 48 h

• Full chemical cure: 7 days

Storage & Clean-Up

Seal tightly, and store between 5–30 °C away from ignition sources. Clean equipment with white spirit or xylene before the sealer cures.
