Drivemaster Acrylic Tarmac Paint & Sealer is a water-based driveway coating for restoring the colour of sound tarmac and asphalt. Choose the colour and Normal or Anti-Slip option that suits your project from the current selector.

Two factory options cover most use cases:

• Normal: a smooth satin finish that refreshes colour and leaves a smart, easy-clean surface for standard residential drives.

• Anti-Slip: the same advanced acrylic, pre-charged with fine silica to create a subtle, micro-textured satin that improves grip in wet conditions without feeling harsh underfoot, perfect for slopes, entrances, and high-footfall routes.

Manufactured in the UK and supplied in 5 L, 10 L, and 20 L tins, Our Acrylic Tarmac Paint & Sealer supports projects of all sizes from quick DIY driveway refreshes to trade-scale car-park refurbishments. 

Applied in two thin coats, it delivers a uniform, colour-true finish with strong adhesion to asphalt and porous concrete, helping reduce dusting and day-to-day maintenance.

Suitable Substrates:

• Tarmac/tarmacadam/asphalt (sound, clean, and dry)

• Porous concrete (etch or prime with Concrete Primer if dense or power-floated)

Not suitable for polished/non-porous concrete, previously sealed surfaces that remain water-repellent, or areas with standing water. Always complete a small test patch first.

Coverage & Spread Rate:

• Typical spread: ≈ 6 m² per litre per coat on driveway-grade tarmac (surface profile and porosity affect coverage).

• Apply two thin coats at right angles for best uniformity, colour depth, and durability.

Drying & Curing Times (@ 18 °C):

• Touch dry: 3–4 hours

• Recoat: 4–6 hours

• Light foot traffic: 12 hours

• Vehicle traffic: 48 hours

• Full cure: 7 days

Keep freshly coated areas dry for at least 6 hours after application; cool or damp conditions extend drying.

Finish & Sheen:

• Normal: Smooth satin

• Anti-Slip: Textured satin with pre-blended fine silica for discreet traction 5 L • 10 L • 20 L

Storage & Clean-Up:

• Store sealed between 5–30 °C, frost-free, and out of direct sun.

• Clean tools with warm, soapy water immediately after use.

• Thinning: Ready to use; if spraying, thin with up to 5% clean water (excess thinning reduces film build).

For large areas, order the total requirement in one batch to ensure shade consistency across the job.

Safety Notice:

Apply outdoors or in well-ventilated areas. Avoid contact with eyes and prolonged skin exposure; wear gloves and eye protection. Keep away from children and pets until fully dry. Do not apply if rain is forecast within 24 hours. Dispose of waste according to local regulations. Refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for full guidance.
