Extreme Paints Quick-Drying Concrete Floor & Patio Paint + Sealer is a water-based, single-pack acrylic coating for prepared concrete floors, patios and paths. It adds colour and sealing protection in one system, with a satin finish and a choice of smooth or anti-slip texture. Suitable for interior garage and workshop floors as well as correctly prepared exterior patios and suitable block paving.

Its breathable film allows moisture vapour to escape while helping protect prepared surfaces from dust, tyre scuffs, oil drips, salt deposits, light chemical exposure and everyday wear. The low-odour formula is manufactured in the UK and cleans up with warm soapy water.

Coverage and pack sizes

Coverage is approximately 6–8 m² per litre per coat and varies with surface porosity, profile and application method. Two thin coats applied at right angles are recommended. Bulk 1,000-litre IBC options are also available.

How to apply in four steps

1. Clean and prepare: make sure the surface is sound, dry and free from dust, grease, oil, moss and loose paint. Moisture should be below 15%. Lightly etch or mechanically abrade polished or power-floated concrete.
2. Prime porous concrete: on bare, porous or uncoated concrete, apply Extreme Seal Concrete Dustproofer & Primer to improve adhesion and produce a more even finish.
3. Mix and apply: stir thoroughly for two minutes. Mix the supplied silica grit evenly into the anti-slip version. Apply a thin, even coat using a brush, medium-nap roller or sprayer; spray only the smooth version.
4. Apply the second coat: recoat after 2–4 hours at 18 °C, applying the second coat at right angles to the first. Avoid puddling and over-application.

Drying and curing times at 18 °C

• Touch dry: 2–4 hours
• Recoat: 2–4 hours
• Light foot traffic: after 12 hours
• Vehicle traffic: after 48 hours
• Full cure and chemical resistance: 7 days

Lower temperatures, high humidity, poor ventilation or thicker application will extend drying and curing times.

Storage, thinning and safety

• Store sealed containers between 5–30 °C in a dry, frost-free location.
• The paint is supplied ready to use. If spraying the smooth version, thin only when required with a maximum of 5% clean water.
• Apply in a well-ventilated area and wear suitable gloves and eye protection.
• Keep children and pets away until the coating is fully cured. Consult the Safety Data Sheet before use.
