A coloured coating and a clear sealer may have different roles. Confirm whether the particular product is approved as a finish, stabilising coat or primer. Do not assume every tile type or roof structure is suitable.

Check the current technical data sheet for substrate compatibility, preparation, coat count, coverage, application conditions and curing. Waterproofing, UV protection, moss resistance and service-life claims need product-specific support; a generic coating family cannot establish them.

Cleaning must suit both the roofing material and the coating instructions. Confirm approved cleaning methods and drying criteria. Do not rely on a fixed wait after washing or apply coating over unresolved contamination or a failing previous finish.

Compare roof paints and sealers and send the supplier the roof material, condition, existing coating and intended use. Water-based does not mean hazard-free or environmentally harmless. Check the product safety data sheet and application guidance before work begins.
