Paintmaster Clear Oil Based Block Paving Sealer

Paintmaster Clear Oil Based Block Paving Sealer is a clear protective treatment for block paving, patios and driveways. It helps seal and stabilise paving while resisting water, oil, fuel and everyday staining. The clear coating keeps the paving visible and can be built up with additional coats for a glossier appearance.

Where to use it

Suitable for clean, dry block paving and patio surfaces, including driveway areas. Test a small, inconspicuous area first, especially on previously treated paving, to check the final appearance and compatibility.

Preparation and application

1. Clean the paving thoroughly and allow it to dry completely.
2. Remove loose material and make sure joints are ready before sealing.
3. Apply evenly using a brush, roller or suitable sprayer, following the manufacturer's instructions. Avoid puddles and heavy build-up.
4. Keep people and vehicles off the surface while the sealer dries. Allow each coat to dry before applying another.

Coverage and drying

Approximate coverage: 8 m² per litre per coat, depending on surface porosity and application method. As a guide, 5L covers up to approximately 40 m², 10L up to 80 m² and 20L up to 160 m² per coat. A 1000L IBC bulk option is also listed; confirm supply terms before ordering. Touch dry in approximately 6–8 hours in dry, well-ventilated conditions; cold or damp weather can extend this time.

Finish and safety

Clear finish. Further coats can build a glossier appearance. Sealed paving may become slippery when wet; assess the surface and slip resistance for its intended use. This is an oil based product: use in a well-ventilated area and keep away from flames and ignition sources. White spirit may be used for thinning, subject to the manufacturer's directions. Secure the lid firmly between uses.
