Ronseal One Coat Damp Seal blocks prepared damp stains on interior walls and ceilings before repainting or wallpapering. It is a stain sealer, not a decorative topcoat and not a repair for the cause of damp.
Preparation and use
Find and fix the source of moisture first. Remove loose paint or wallpaper and treat any mould with a suitable mould killer. The surface may be damp, but not dripping wet. Stir thoroughly and apply one coat by brush or roller; for a small patch, extend the application approximately 30cm beyond the affected area.
- Pack size: 2.5L; white matt.
- Coverage: up to 5m² per litre (up to 12.5m² per tin).
- Touch dry: 1–2 hours; paint or wallpaper over after 4 hours, allowing longer in poor drying conditions.
- Clean brushes and rollers with white spirit.
Safety: This is a flammable, high-VOC product. Ventilate the area, keep away from ignition sources and follow the label and safety data sheet. See Ronseal's instructions for full application guidance.
