Extreme Clean High-Strength Concrete Descaler is a powerful inhibited brick acid formula built to dissolve the toughest cementitious deposits and mineral scale that ordinary cleaners cannot shift. Supplied as a high-strength concentrate, it works fast on cement smears, mortar splashes, concrete haze, lime scale, and efflorescence — making it the go-to descaler for bricklayers, builders, stonemasons, and property maintenance teams who need professional results without aggressive mechanical scrubbing.

Where to Use It

  • New & Weathered Brickwork — lifts cement smears, mortar splashes, and efflorescence from freshly laid or aged brick.
  • Concrete & Paving — removes cement haze and residue from concrete slabs, block paving, and cast concrete surfaces.
  • Driveways, Pathways & Patios — clears lime scale, mineral bloom, and post-construction grime from external hardscapes.
  • Stonework & Masonry Facades — descales chimneys, exterior walls, and acid-tolerant natural stone.
  • Tools & Equipment — strips hardened cement build-up from mixers, wheelbarrows, trowels, and bricklaying tools.
  • New Build & Refurbishment Sites — ideal for post-construction clean-down on housing, extensions, and exterior restoration projects.

Not suitable for polished marble, travertine, limestone, glazed tiles, polished concrete, aluminium, chrome, anodised finishes, or any acid-sensitive natural stone. Always test on a small, inconspicuous area first.

Safety First

This is a strongly acidic product, so PPE is essential. Wear chemical-resistant gloves, safety goggles, a face shield, and protective clothing every time you use it. Work in a well-ventilated area, avoid breathing the mist or fumes, and keep children and pets clear of the work zone. Pre-wet surrounding plants, metalwork, glass, and finished surfaces to shield them from splash damage. Never mix the product with bleach, alkalis, or ammonia-based cleaners — the reaction releases dangerous fumes. When diluting, always add the product to water, never water to product.

Dilution Guide

  • Heavy cement smears & thick mortar deposits — use neat.
  • Standard brick cleaning & concrete residue — dilute 1:3 to 1:5 with clean water.
  • Light descaling, lime scale & efflorescence — dilute 1:5 to 1:10 with clean water.
  • Tools & equipment cleaning — dilute 1:5 with clean water.

How to Apply

Start by thoroughly pre-wetting the surface with clean water — this is critical to prevent acid burn and uneven absorption. Apply the diluted or neat product using an acid-resistant brush, sponge, or low-pressure sprayer, working it evenly across all cement or scale deposits. On vertical surfaces like brick walls, start from the bottom and work upward to avoid streaking and acid runs. Avoid applying in rainfall, frost, or direct hot sun.

Dwell Times (at 18 °C)

  • Light scale and efflorescence: 2–5 minutes
  • Moderate cement smears and mortar residue: 5–15 minutes
  • Heavy cementitious build-up: 15–30 minutes (re-apply if the surface begins to dry)

Never let the product dry on the surface — mist lightly with clean water if needed.

Agitate & Rinse

For stubborn build-up, agitate with a stiff acid-resistant brush to break the deposits loose. Rinse thoroughly with plenty of clean water using a hose or low-pressure washer until all residue and runoff are neutralised. If runoff reaches lawns, borders, or metalwork, flush those areas immediately with fresh water.

Repeat If Needed

Heavy cementitious build-up may need a second application once the first round is fully rinsed. For ongoing maintenance, descaling once or twice a year keeps brickwork and paving looking fresh and prevents stubborn re-scaling.

Clean-Up & Storage

Rinse all brushes, sponges, sprayers, and applicators with plenty of clean water immediately after use — the biodegradable formula washes away cleanly without harsh solvents. Reseal the cap firmly between uses to preserve the concentration. Store the product between 5 and 30 °C in a cool, dry, frost-free place away from direct sunlight, food, and incompatible chemicals such as alkalis and bleach. Always keep it in its original container.
