Extreme Paints Clear Polyurethane Concrete Primer & Floor Sealer is a single‑pack, low‑viscosity polyurethane that soaks deep into porous concrete, binding loose particles and forming a resilient, dust‑free surface. Applied before our Extreme Paints PU Floor Paint, it promotes exceptional inter‑coat adhesion and reduces the risk of future delamination, even under forklifts, pallet trucks and constant foot traffic.
Used alone, the product delivers a hard‑wearing satin sheen that repels oil, water and most household chemicals while allowing the natural concrete colour to show through. Manufactured in the UK to ISO 9001 standards, each batch is quality‑checked for viscosity, penetration depth and cure speed, guaranteeing consistent professional results.
Spreading Rate (Coverage)
Approximately 6–10 m² per litre, per coat, depending on substrate porosity.
Drying Time
Touch dry in 4‑6 hours @ 18 °C with good ventilation. Allow at least 8 hours before over‑coating or opening to light use.
Storage
Keep containers tightly closed, upright and away from heat or flames. Store between 5 °C and 30 °C.
Thinners / Clean‑up
White spirit or polyurethane thinner. Do not thin in excess of 5 %.
Surface Preparation
Concrete must be sound, dry (< 4 % moisture) and free of grease, dust, laitance and loose paint. Acid‑etch or mechanically abrade power‑floated surfaces to ensure penetration.
