Extreme Seal Block Paving Sealer is a single-pack, solvent-based paving sealer engineered to stabilise jointing sand and protect interlocking block paving, concrete setts, imprinted concrete, and other porous paving. Its low-viscosity polyurethane/acrylic resin penetrates deeply into the substrate and joints as the solvent flashes off, it binds sand grains together to create a flexible, elastomeric joint that helps resist rutting, weed ingress, erosion, and wash-out. At the same time, it lays down a clear, protective film across the surface that repels water and contaminants and keeps paved areas looking clean for longer.

Choose between Matt Look for a subtle, natural satin, or Wet Look for a richer colour enhancement with a gentle surface sheen. Where extra traction is needed on slopes, steps, or commercial walkways, add the enclosed silica sachet to create a discreet anti-slip block paving sealer finish. 

The coating contains 100% UV absorbers to help prevent yellowing, while the tough polyurethane matrix resists diesel, oil, de-icing salts, and everyday staining, ideal for high-traffic driveways, patios, logistics yards, and retail car parks.

Manufactured in the UK to ISO 9001 standards, Extreme Seal is touch-dry in 3–4 hours, enabling two-coat same-day application and rapid reopening of sealed areas. The system combines deep joint stabilisation with durable surface protection, delivering a long-lasting, professional result for both homeowners and contractors.

Suitable Substrates:

• Interlocking concrete block paving (CBP)

• Standard concrete pavers and setts

• Porous clay pavers (test a small area first)

• Sandstone and concrete flags

• Imprinted/stamped concrete

Not suitable for dense natural stone (e.g., polished granite, basalt) or asphalt. Always ensure the substrate is clean, dry, and porous enough to accept sealer.

Coverage & Spread Rate:

• First coat: approx. 4 m² per litre (flood to stabilise joints and saturate the surface)

• Second coat: approx. 6 m² per litre (porosity dependent)

• Optional third coat (Wet Look): deepens gloss and colour enrichment

Actual coverage varies with block type, joint depth, and surface porosity. Apply thin, even coats; over-application can trap solvent and prolong cure.

Drying & Curing Times (@ 18 °C):

• Touch dry: 3–4 hours

• Recoat: 4–6 hours

• Light foot traffic: 12 hours

• Vehicle traffic: 48 hours

• Full chemical cure: 7 days

Protect freshly sealed areas from rain for at least 6 hours. Cooler or humid conditions will extend drying.

Storage & Clean-Up:

• Store sealed between 5–30 °C, away from ignition sources and direct sunlight

• Clean rollers, sprayers, and tools immediately with white spirit or xylene

• Do not return contaminated material to the tin; decant to a tray/sprayer reservoir during application.

Finish & Appearance:

Clear, durable film with either a natural satin (Matt Look) or richer Wet Look finish. The film enhances colour while allowing the texture of the block to remain visible. For added safety, the micro-textured anti-slip option is recommended on slopes and busy pedestrian routes.
